Upcoming 2026 Polestar 6: Release Date, Price, Full Specs, News, Leaks Images! Polestar, a Swedish automotive brand, announced a new roadster model called the Polestar 6 in late August 2022, inspired by the O2 concept car. The 2026 Polestar 6 is set to debut as a luxury electric sports car and grand tourer. This type of car is designed for high speeds and long-distance driving so that we can enjoy the combination of performance and luxury attributes. As the concept has been revealed, the brand’s first convertible has declared itself an entirely new vehicle that is powered by a dual-motor and all-wheel-drive powertrain. Despite the fact that the company has yet to provide detailed features and has only shared the concept of the car, it has already created a buzz in the market.
2026 Polestar 6 Release Date
The Polestar 6, the brand’s first convertible, is going to debut for the 2026 model year. The company has introduced only the LA concept version, which is going to be a special limited-production version. When Polestar began accepting reservations, the 500 examples of the 2026 Polestar sold out in two weeks, four years before the first delivery. Following the LA Concept version, the low-cost edition will be introduced in the US market, though Polestar has not disclosed specific release details for this upcoming sports event.
2026 Polestar 6: Engine Power, and Performance
Polestar declared that the vehicle is going to share the 800-volt electric architecture and 884-hp dual-motor electric engine with the Polestar 5 sedan. According to Polestar’s estimates, this should provide acceleration to hit 62 mph in 3.2 seconds. Though the driving range is unpublished, we expect it to be at least 300 miles per charge.
2026 Polestar 6: Design
Interior
We anticipate that the production vehicle will have a minimalistic interior design using eco-friendly materials. It is most likely going to have a light-colored interior with a tiny digital gauge display that is going to run a future version of the Google-based software interface, a dashboard that looks extra wide due to its clean and horizontal line, and a steering wheel that has a long storage cubby. There is a knob located ahead of the armrest to interact with the information system.
Exterior
Images of the concept photo show that the vehicle adheres to Polestar’s contemporary home design philosophy. We hope the car will win our hearts with its smooth, sky-blue exterior, folding hardtop roof, and brilliant LED lights. Though the concept car has exterior cameras in place of mirrors, Polestar won’t be able to make it to the production car.
2026 Polestar 6: Safety Features
Polestar has not yet declared the safety features of 2026’s Polestar 6, and we have only seen the concept. Given Polestar’s previous vehicle, we can anticipate next-generation driver-assistance features such as autonomous driving mode, standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and standard adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving mode.
Warranty and Maintenance Coverage
Generally, Polestar offers a basic warranty package that matches its rival, Tesla, although it does not offer any complimentary scheduled maintenance as Tesla does. Polestar has not yet published their warranty and maintenance coverage for the 2026 Polestar 6, but considering their previous offerings, we can expect at least: a limited warranty covering four years or 50,000 miles; electrical components covered for eight years or 100,000 miles; and no complimentary scheduled maintenance.

2026 Polestar 6 Price
As the vehicle is still in its development phase, Polestar hasn’t released an exact price for the Polestar 6 yet, but we expect it to be the company’s priciest vehicle to date. This vehicle is going to cost $25,000 just to reserve, whereas the price of the 2026 Polestar 6, 500-unit LA Concept variant is expected to be $200,000. Hopefully, there will be a less expensive model, without the detailed features of the LA concept edition, of the 2026 Polestar 6 when it is introduced in the USA. This variant is anticipated to cost between $200,000 and $250,000.
